Football, slowed down. Friendship, sped up.
Walking football for anyone over 50 in Corby and the surrounding area. No experience needed, all abilities welcome.
We train:
- wednesdays, 7pm–9pm · West Glebe PavillionAll abilities
We started with just 10 players under the Corby Town FC banner. Today we run four competitive teams, and a social calendar that rivals the football itself, as Corby United Walking Football Club.
You don't need to have played football before. You don't need to be fit. Most of us weren't when we started, and that's the point.

In their own words
"I had a heart attack in 2018 and was told I needed to exercise but couldn't face the gym. Walking football gave me back something I didn't know I'd lost: being part of a team. My cardiologist is a fan too."
"My husband retired and within six months he was a different man, and not in a good way. He came home from his first walking football session smiling. He hasn't stopped since. I'd pay them."
"Lost my wife in 2019. The club saved me, frankly. Two mornings a week I had a reason to get out of the house and people who knew me. Still do."
